Help CentreBarbersGetting Started with the Barber Console

1) Open the barber console

The barber console is usually available at /barber on your store’s Cutline URL. Many shops keep it open on an iPad or a computer near the stations.

2) Select your store and your name

If your business has multiple locations, pick the correct store first. Then select your barber profile. This ensures the queue you’re viewing matches the customers you’ll actually be serving.

If you don’t see your name, ask a manager to add you or set you as active in the admin portal.

3) What the queue view shows

Your queue typically contains a mix of appointments and walk-ins. Each ticket usually shows:

  • Customer name (or initials)
  • Service type (Haircut, Fade, Beard, etc.)
  • Current status: Waiting, In Service, or Done
  • Actions like Start, Done, and sometimes No-show

4) Auto-refresh (every ~5 seconds)

The barber console automatically refreshes about every 5 seconds so you don’t have to hit reload. That means you’ll see new walk-ins appear, appointment check-ins, and queue updates in near real time.

If you notice it’s not updating, check your connection and refresh the tab once.

Recommended first-day workflow

  1. Keep the console open where you can glance at it.
  2. Tap Start as soon as a customer sits down.
  3. Tap Done as soon as you finish — don’t wait until the next customer.
  4. If you step away, toggle On Break so the kiosk doesn’t route people to you.
